Boating the Blues in a Luminous Cave Under Bisevo, Croatia
The last reminder of your everyday reality comes right before your tour boat enters the Blue Grotto, as there is another boat anchored in front, waiting to collect tickets. The next 10 minutes, as you silently float inside, might as well be spent in the Twilight Zone. Once in the dark, another underwater entrance lets the light flood in, coloring the cave in an otherworldly spectrum of blue; a natural rock bridge looming darkly under the surface enhances the threshold-to-another-dimension feel.
