On the northwest side of Belle Isle looking toward Henderson Park. This was a most peaceful and beautiful blue sky with a gentle covering of white puffy clouds... a beautiful day in Detroit. The picture was taken during one day of the boat races. On the shore line, the boat hoisting cranes can be seen alongside the spectators’ stands and on the water the course cones mark the turning points.
