Strolling Paths Lined with Desert Flora in San Diego
All the gardens in the park are unique and lovely in their own way; however, if you're a "xeriscapist'" at heart and enjoy the weird and wonderful world of desert flora, this garden boasts over 1300 varieties. Stroll paths lined with creosote bush, yucca, beavertail cactus, agave, joshua, and countless colorful flowers and you'll marvel at nature's ability to thrive in harsh conditions. As you exit the garden on the south end, you'll be greeted by the brilliance and contrast of the Rose Garden. Enjoy the trip...just don't pick the flowers. Ouch!
