Peering Spellbound Into the Artist’s Eye in Nederland, Colorado
Pandora opens her box inside a golden frame, her hair flowing in fine pen and ink; faces, animals, and other treasure lurk inside the dense, intricate detail of a castle fortress. Peru, England, and Guatemala express their cultural features in photo collages while majestic mountains and fields of wildflowers reveal the panoramic beauty of the Colorado Rockies. Animals of Africa and wild horses of America walk in their natural habitats, meeting the passerby’s gaze, while animals from every continent frolic and rest in magical worlds created by a digital artist. The Artists’ Niche Gallery in Nederland, CO, exhibits the fine art of local mountain artists working in all mediums from photography to painting, jewelry, fun t-shirts, and quirky little boxes where doll heads reside. A new visiting artist is featured in a reception on the last Friday of each month, 4-8pm.
