Viewing Multimedia Photography Exhibits in Los Angeles, California

Located near the Century City Towers, the Annenberg Space for Photography is an intimate multimedia gallery dedicated to print and digital photography. As you explore the multifunctional space and view the exhibited photos, you'll notice that the modern interior has been designed to evoke a camera's inner mechanics and its lens. Follow the sound of the thumping soundtrack and enter the Space's central gallery (aka The Iris), where two huge screens and smaller monitors display montages that illuminate the photographers' artistic process. In another area, you can examine the current exhibit in depth via tabletop touchscreens that fascinate as well as inform.

Spaces in-between at the Annenburge

There is so much amazing free art in LA, and this is a prime example. They change their exhibits regularly, and I've been to every one so far. The space is quite beautiful in itself, and the exhibits are always worth it. Mostly inspiring and invigorating, I leave feeling infused with creativity. The space is always free to visit, with a small $1 parking charge.

Annenberg Space for Photography

Its hidden location in a commercial office park precludes inadvertently stumbling upon the Annenberg Space for Photography, but an intentional visit is well worth venturing into the belly of corporate America. Stroll along the circuitous corridors and obsessively polished glass doors of a slick Bank of America office building and emerge in LA’s sole location dedicated entirely to the crossroads of philanthropy and photography. From exhibits of sports photos to Los Angeles history to photojournalism, it’s an incongruous juxtaposition of cultural oasis in a sea of steel that you won’t want to miss the chance to support. It doesn’t even require an admission ticket. This secret little museum is completely free.
