Upon entering the carved wrought ironed gates of this Staten Island park, guests are immediately transported to the world of Aesop's fables. Whimsical bronze statues dot the parks interior depicting popular tales such as The Tortuous and the Hare. The park is home to several playgrounds, a swing set, chess tables, and a 200 person amphitheater. Within the amphitheater are two finely carved pillars that tell the tale of The North Wind and the Sun. Even on a cloudy day local residents can be seen strolling through the park with little ones listening to the laughter coming from the neighboring school. Aesop's Park is the perfect escape from busy city streets, a place where fables and fun can be shared with visitors of all ages.
