Enjoying the Outdoors on Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade, Serbia
No trip to Belgrade is complete without a least checking out the city’s closest approximation to Central Park, Ada Ciganlija. Located just a short bus ride outside the city center, visitors will find an orgy of flesh and sunbathing around the central lake (including even a small nudist section, mostly frequented by the elderly), hundreds of cafes (that switch to clubs at night), restaurants to sate any craving you might have, and a huge variety of recreation and sports facilities to pass the hours on a lovely weekend afternoon. Bungee jumping, paintball, waterskiing, take a paddle boat or kayak out for a few hours, rock climbing, watch or join a game of football/basketball/tennis/golf/frisbee, relax with friends over the public barbeque pits, rollerblade or bike on the trails, or simply walk around and argue with your friends about what to do... No matter what you end up choosing, you can never go wrong in checking out this favorite Belgrade destination, as testified by the large crowds that can be found there on any given day with nice weather.
