The Bodega Head State Park provides an excellent place to experience the true nature of the Northern California Coast. There are picnic tables, tide pools, hiking trails, and plenty of feathered wildlife. You'll need to bring a jacket no matter what time of the year it is because of the un-predictable weather conditions this region of the coast offers. To reach the head you will need to drive through the heart of Bodega Bay passing great places to eat and shop. You will also get a really good look at the harbor which has tons of fishing history. A perfect day trip or weekend get away if ever in the San Francisco area.

If you could take just one photo: Cocktails and a view?
Marquee Nightclub A classy place to dance, chat, or take in an amazing view. After traipsing through the Cosmopolitan Hotel with all it’s sparkling chandeliers, what better way to take the evening to a whole new level than with the Marquee Night club. After being greeted by the men in black step into the elevator and begin you ascent to the club that offers amazing drinks prepared by beautiful bartenders and music spun by crafty DJs. When you need to catch your breath from showing off your dance moves, step outside to the expansive balcony and be astounded by the twinkle of the bright lights of Vegas. Enjoy some cocktails over conversational pleasantries while either dancing the night away or enjoying the fresh air on the balcony. Either way, the Marquee Nightclub offers something for everyone.

Bringer of birdsong and the smell of sweet grasses, Elkhorn Slough is a great place for a soothing stroll. Both a breeding ground for leopard and smoothhound sharks, and host to thousands of migratory birds, Elkhorn would be an important estuary environment even if it wasn’t California’s second largest salt marsh. But it is that, and as a celebrated birding, kayaking and hiking area, it provides endless hours of recreational and educational entertainment for its steady stream of visitors. There's a striking variety of wildlife and flora, the lulling rhythms (and fascinations) of the tidal environments, and after you tour the Slough, there's the fun local community of Moss Landing, with some good lunch spots, antique stores, and charming small harbor.
